| Resident at Golf Course & Toppers Tests Positive for COVID-19
We were notified on (12/21/20) that another Resident has tested positive for covid-19. This individual is in self quarantine at the moment.
The individual played golf on Thursday (12/17/20) at 11:30am and Saturday (12/19/20) at noon.
The individual was also at Toppers Saturday (12/19/20) at 4:00pm.
The Resident received their positive COVID-19 results on Monday (12/21/20).
Risk for severe illness with COVID-19 increases with age, with older adults at highest risk. Certain medical conditions can also increase risk for severe illness. For example, people in their 50s are at higher risk for severe illness than people in their 40s. Similarly, people in their 60s or 70s are, in general, at higher risk for severe illness than people in their 50s. The greatest risk for severe illness from COVID-19 is among those aged 85 or older. Severe illness means that a person with COVID-19 may require: - hospitalization,
- intensive care, or a
- ventilator to help them breathe, or
- they may even die.
