From Susan Trotto,Who just a few years ago looked into shooting a pistol/revolver as a personal defense item. I knew zilch about hand guns! I knew zilch about revolvers vs semi-autos. But out of interest to learn, for the sake of safety, I took a course offered by Joyce Schulke at the OSA. Needless-to-say, this was the best thing I EVER DID when I decided to have a gun!!!!Guns are NOT toys you put away "Just in case" and in fact that philosophy may just cost you your life!!!!! You MUST practice and this is 1000 times more important if you have chosen a semi auto!!! Can you clear a jam? Do you even know what it is??.. most of the newer shooters in here have been steered to a semi auto so this info can be life saving! The difference in manipulating a revolver and semi auto is huge! After all, most of you did NOT get onto this for recreation! But IF you want to meet some accomplished LADY shooters in here, let me know, we have several!!!But I very strongly recommend that ladies look into its course offered at the OSA starting in Jan. GUNS ARE NOT A TOY TO JUST PUT AWAY. "JUST. iNCASE". And the laws will NOT be on your side!!.,!!!!Please - Newer shooters - give this some serious thought! Just shooting a 8x10 paper once is NOT GOOD!
