Above is the link to signup. We are changing the match from IDPA scoring and format, to
Steel Challenge scoring and gun choices. We will limit the amount of hits on paper and
count it as a steel target. 30 seconds is the worst run you can have and we WIIL DROP
YOUR WORST STRING. Missed plates will have a 2 second penalty like the rimfire matches.
Scoring will be a lot easier and we will not double tap paper, to cut down on pasting.

Senior Games for Charity
The brochures for the games will be arriving in your boxes today or tomorrow and registration will begin on Friday, January 24th. You can fill out the registration form in the brochure or you can register online through the Spruce Creek website at sprucecreekgcc.com. After you filled out the online registration you will need to bring a copy of the acknowledgment receipt to either the Fitness Center during normal operating hours or the Horizon Center on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Registration will end on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 at 6:00pm. Payment may be made with a check or cash in the exact amount. There is no change available. Your community ID card is required at time of registration and you will receive your t-shirt and opening ceremonies lunch ticket at that time.
T-shirts are based on a first come first serve basis and sizes are limited and we are unable to reorder.
Proceeds from the Games will be donated to Camp Boggy Creek. Since 1996, Camp Boggy Creek has made it possible for children with serious illnesses to enjoy a camp experience in a safe, medically-sound environment. Camp Boggy Creek never charges campers to attend and never ask them to contribute anything other than a positive, playful attitude.
Opening ceremonies will be held at the Softball Field on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 at 3:30pm. Following the opening ceremonies all participants will receive a hotdog, chips and a water or soda with their ticket. This year during the serving of the hotdogs will be the Chili Cook Off and Cornbread Challenge and for a donation, that will go to Camp Boggy Creek, you can add Chili to your hotdog or have cornbread and chili with your hotdog.
Closing ceremonies will be held in the Ballroom on Friday, March 13th at noon. You will need to purchase the ticket for that at time of registration.
We hope to have a record number of participants this year for this annual community event. Don't miss out on the fun and games. Be a part of your community that gives back to great charities each year.

NSA warns of consequences of not patching dangerous Windows 10 bug
The NSA advises everyone to update their Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 right away:
NSA recommends installing all January 2020 Patch Tuesday patches as soon as possible to effectively mitigate the vulnerability on all Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016/2019 systems. In the event that enterprise-wide, automated patching is not possible, NSA recommends system owners prioritize patching endpoints that provide essential or broadly replied-upon services.
If you haven't updated your Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 yet, drop what you're doing right now and do it. To update Windows, click the Start button, then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Our Piston Shoot at the Senior Games is coming up on March 5th

From SusanOur Pistol Shoot at the Senior Games is coming up on March 5th so I am asking for help that day. We need 1-3 people to help at the beginning when the shooters check in. One person to collect the range fees paid that day. We need 3-4 people to change targets after each group has shot. All volunteers get to shoot!!!!Also, at the pizza meeting I was trying to get an idea of the interest in our new category for guns with a 3.5” barrel or shorter. If anyone else who did not talk to me yesterday anticipates shooting a small gun please let me know the following: Brand ( ie: Ruger); caliber; model ( ie: LCR) and NOT just the caliber and brand. For example, Ruger makes more then one 22lr semi-auto or revolver so I need to check the barrel length. I will be checking on the manufacturer’s website. We will absolutely stick to 3.5”,thus 3.55 will not be allowed in this category but you can shoot in the full size category - there has to be a definite cutoff at some point so we have used the IDPA definition.
