Steven Kaplan | Castle Pines
I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. Married my High School sweetheart, Evelyn 54 years ago. We have two children and two grandsons.
I served in Naval Aviation and received an Honorable discharge in Feb. of 1967.
After my military service, I went to work in the textile industry in New York City and specialized in the area of garment construction. A large part of my responsibilities was dealing with distributors and my duties included hiring, and the training of
these new people, and sometimes having to recommend the termination of some of these people.
Retired from the textile industry after over 30 years and started a second career in a non related field. After several months on the job, I was asked to be a recruiter for the company, this ultimately became a national recruiting position. Worked for seven years and then finally retired for good.
My wife and I moved to this wonderful community in October of 2004 and never looked back.
I served as the Commander of our Veterans Club 3 times. I am now the Chaplain of the club, I perform services at National Holidays and when necessary I serve at memorial services for any and all Veterans who reside in Del Webb.
I was also treasurer of our gun club when it first started. I am also involved with the following clubs; Club 36,trivia club where I am also one of the questionnaires, and also our Karaoke club.
If elected I believe that I can be an asset to this great community.
