Local NRA Foundation Grants:

With funds raised through Friends of NRA, The NRA Foundation grants provide essential funding that benefits programs such as:

Central Florida Council, BSA

Grant helped purchase replacement BB guns, targets, and safety eye wear for the Shooting Sports Education Center at Camp La-No-Che, the council long term camping facility in Lake County, Florida. This supports the overall objectives of this program, which are to: follow the rules of firearms safety, teach safety through self-imposed discipline where safe practices become habits, accept responsibility for use and possession of firearms, teach the laws that govern the use and possession of firearms, teach wildlife conservation, teach and follow the letter of game laws, and teach proper storage of firearms.

Florida 4-H Foundation/Putnam County 4-H

Grant assisted in starting a shooting sports program for the 4-H members of Putnam County.

HB Plant High School AFJROTC

Grant helped support the goal of the program, which is to increase awareness and encourage marksmanship, gun safety, and ownership in the South Tampa area through competition, group events, and demonstrations in the area and region wide, with an overall goal to create opportunities for students to seek and achieve marksmanship related scholarships from university and external agencies to help further their education while increasing visibility of the involved sports and enhancing levels of skill.
