Local NRA Foundation Grants:
With funds raised through Friends of NRA, The NRA Foundation grants provide essential funding that benefits programs such as:
Lemon Bay High School NJROTC
Grant helped with goal to increase the number of cadets interested in the sporter class air rifle program at Lemon Bay High School NJROTC program, which is designed for new competitors or those who desire to compete with a minimum of equipment and expense.
Florida 4-H Foundation/Florida 4-H Camp Cloverleaf
Grant helped assist in the program's goals to provide youth an opportunity to become responsible and productive members of society through the development of life skills, character enhancement and personal growth. The camp achieves these goals through training in the shooting sports, with county faculty, volunteer leaders and coaches transferring knowledge, skills and values to compliment the participants' abilities and help them develop human capital. The main goal of this project is to teach safe and responsible use of firearms to youth ages 10-18 in a residential camp setting.
St. Johns County Sheriff's Office
Grant assisted with providing funds for the purchase of firearms, ammunition, eye protection, ear protection, cleaning supplies, targets, holsters and magazine pouches for their Explorer Unit. This allowed for them to expand their firearms safety awareness and performance skills to assist the youth who are working toward joining the law enforcement profession.
State Grants Awarded Since Inception: $2,785,814.42
